Bill White

Bill White began his career in electronics in 1970 after graduating from the University of Wisconsin school of Electronic Engineering. He worked as an engineer for Motorola for 6 years before joining the rapidly growing Alaska Airlines in Seatlle. Whilst Bill's career in computing and management continued to flourish he accepted a series of promotions which culminated in his overall responsibility for the IT requirements of the Alaska Air Group. At the time of his departure, Bill was responsible for 30 technical staff, US$15 million in computing investment and a US$5 million annual budget.

In 1989, Bill left the USA and settled in England. Bill's first job in the UK was with Langton Limited as an IT consultant. He worked for over two years as a consultant and his clients included The European Commission, Hilton Hotels, Haven Warner, The Welsh Development Office and Agency Sector Management, (ASM).

In 1992, Bill was to manage the development and implementation of a software package for 600+ airfreight forwarders in the UK, called ASM2000.

In 1995, Bill joined forces with Christopher Hewlett to develop another software product for freight forwarders called BoxTop.
