Christopher Hewlett
Christopher Hewlett has spent most of his business life inside the freight sector, building vast experience in co-ordinating and managing the many disciplines across the industry and covering all levels of national, international and domestic forwarding.
He has over 25 years of experience actually managing businesses in the freight industry, first as Managing Director of Freelance International Express plc, achieving one of the UK’s first quality assurance awards in 1990 for a UK Freight Company. And latterly as Founder and Managing Director of Ultimex Global Logistics plc, which, between 1992 and 1996 featured in the Sunday Times Top 100 Fastest Growing Businesses in the UK.
In 1997 he sold his interests to the management team at Ultimex so he could concentrate on the development of freight software systems. His vision has always been on effectiveness and practicalities that are so often lost within complex business organisations. Well embedded within his new venture, BoxTop demonstrates Hewlett’s own clear and unequivocal understanding of the logical systems required to deliver service quality, cost- effectiveness and process reporting.
A former Chairman of Agency Sector Management he has been involved in the freight industry for over 30 years.
